Fornasetti Baciamano Fronte e Retro Armchair (Exclusive)
Baciamano Fronte e Retro Armchair
Featuring the “Baciamano Fronte e Retro” (front and back) armchair, the newest creation of the atelier Fornasetti, introduced in April 2014 at Milan Design Week.
Designed by British architect and Designer Nigel Coates in collaboration with Barnaba Fornasetti, it constitutes an important addition to the Fornasetti oeuvre. This is their latest adventure in working together; in 2002 they collaborated on the'Tete à Tete' collection of lamps, vases and tableware.
The shape of this exclusive armchair suggests a welcoming hand, while a small table teeters on one armrest.
The seat contains a double-sided cushion in jacquard fabric, featuring the front and back of the lower torso.
Both the cushion and table are decorated with one of the many anthropomorphic variations that are key to Fornasetti. On the occasion of Fuorisalone week this chair was featured at Milanese Museum Bagatti Valsecchi in the acclaimed exhibition “Untold”, curated by gallerist Rossana Orlandi.
